Product Description

Cast-Iron Casserole

Designed to go from oven to table, this covered Cast-iron Casserole is a recreation of the ancient cast-iron pot. It is an outstanding example of Scandinavian design with its form, organic shape, natural material, and utilitarianism. For this design, Timo Sarpaneva was inspired by his grandfather, who was a blacksmith and exposed him to molten metal at a young age. Made by Iittala of cast iron with a white enamel interior and pressed-wood handle. The detachable wooden handle is used to open the lid and lift the pot. Cast iron is stovetop- and oven-safe. Hand-wash only.
