Beginning in the 1940s, MoMA began collecting examples of the intensely creative, ambitious, and challenging postwar movement known as Abstract Expressionism. These acquisitions continued through the second half of the last century and produced a collection of Abstract Expressionist art of unrivaled breadth and depth.

Inspired by MoMA’s exhibition Abstract Expressionist New York , these coasters celebrates the ethos of the movement by featuring quotations from Abstract Expressionist artists about art and its place in the world.

Made of laminated MDF with velveteen packing. Wipe clean with damp cloth.
