The Cab chair is widely recognized as one of the more significant chair designs of the twentieth century. Typically, only the seating surfaces of a chair might be covered with leather, with parts of the structure left exposed. But the Cab chair's flexible steel frame is completely enveloped in a continuous, fitted skin of saddle leather, zipped together at the legs-an approach previously used only for upholstered furniture. And with subtly detailed, exposed stitching along the seams, the sculptural quality of the leather creates an understated, elegant form that is enticingly comfortable. Produced by Cassina.
